DREAMER

So many golden beams appeared
Around tomorrow’s dawning rim
Sweet promises of sure success
That rock the spine and chill the skin
I watched in silence as my friends
Grasped onto fortune’s brighter day
But me, I chose the dreamer’s road
And slowly dreamed my life away

Though I have not a legacy
Of intellect or earthly wealth
I am content in having lived
The full dimension of myself
And if my life were still unlived
And lay around the coming bend
Just as the dawn pursues the night
I’d seek the dreamer’s road again

Liz, this is so perfect -- I will read it over and over again from my library.  It suits my own feelings so well, too.   ....jo

Liz,  this is an awesome view...and I am sure
there are many others who have stood before
the plate glass and dreamt as well.

Liz....I dream with you!  As for leaving a legacy, it seems to me you have a wonderful book of your poetry.

Now that's the spirit - Carpe' Diem!   Living a dreamer's life works for me.  You saw!  Beautiful Liz, think I will print this one for Tori, who takes after Gramma, and in this world that just isn't such a bad thing.

To see real beauty - look with your heart.

Beutiful Liz..
and I agree 100%!
Luv and hugs, Nancy

I wait now at the lake or walking by the bay
I wait and listen or put a seashell
to my ear and it all comes back
the wind's soft murmur..and you.

You know I'm with you dear Liz, walking that dreamer's path. Your kines and rhyme flow like honey sweetest friend.

Please, never leave that path of dreams.

so beautiful as yourself...especially liked this:

Though I have not a legacy
Of intellect or earthly wealth
I am content in having lived
The full dimension of myself
And if my life were still unlived

you certainly do, dear lady, you certainly do!
