There are poems I will not write,
Words I will not speak,
     secrets sheltered from a storm,
     moments playing hide and seek.

There are tunes I won’t compose,
Songs I will not sing.
The night will shield the melody
     from blooming forth in spring.

I have loved you more than words.
There is no way to say this thing.
You inspired a song and theme
that only angel choirs could sing.

There are poems I cannot write,
Words I cannot speak.

You wrote of those tender moments with so much feeling.
The song never really ends, it just fades away.

Very beautiful poetry, illiana~

Lovely write, jo, but one just never knows what one is capable of given the right motivation and inspiration.  Sometimes it only comes from within but thoughts are things so I've been told.  Write the poems and speak the words because ... first there was the word.

Though,
not to make an attempt
to speak what can't be said
   would leave you with
   the unimagined
      rambling 'round your head.

Good morning, girlfriend. I do believe that I can read between those unwritten lines. Powerfully scribed emotions here! They pack a punch to one's solar plexus.

The words seemed to spill right from your guts and onto the blue page.

Sending you a big, warm, sisterly hug,
Linda xo

I know the feeling, Jo.  For those who are absolutely the closest to me, I can not find words to adequately express. I love the simplicity of this
and the smooth flow.

Any poem that remains unwritten by you is a loss to the world. This is stunning

A wonderful read, iliana, and so very true. Some things can simply not be translated into words without loss. Those we simply whisper to ourselves.....very nice writing
