Can I see beyond you?
Will you block my vision
Keeping all secrets tight;
Locking my emotion.

I have lost elation
Somewhere in the deep night;
I know it is somewhere
Waiting for a new light.

Will I regain my sight
In the warm morning air
Will it be there to do
Something for me to share?

I'll treat it with great care,
But to me something new,
I long for relation
Maintained by very few.

Gloom

The second and fourth lines are the rhyming lines, the first links back and the third links forward.

Smarty Pants!

Well done Gloom. You make these seem so simple to do.

Your rhyming backwards and forwards is brilliant,
but your last stanza says it all, and what makes life worth living.

Beautiful work, Professor Gloom~
