Somewhere... out there...

Once upon this
place I stood with
good intentions
understood...
and love was in the
air and I was

home...

now here I sit
in solitude of
circle cast in
heart's protect
a stranger in
this place
I once

belonged...

no longer is there
comfort here
no safety from the
daggers thrown in
misdirected
judgments placed
upon a weary
soul in

bleed...

and so
I grant you
one last wish
to view my back
in exiting

I lack
the will to
play the
game...

You win...

Thanks, everyone...
for reading and understanding...

and no... I'm not 'leaving'...

I'm not one to run off because of a few
false accusations and unfair judgments...

I'm human, though...
and so they do tend to hurt...

Guess I just had to do something with
some of that hurt... so I wrote it...

Thanks for bearing with me...

and Kacy?...

Thank you for sharing that memory...

That means more to me than you know...

Thanks again, all...

Me Wittle Buddy~
You ain't going nowhere girl ... cause I'd have to come get you (AGAIN)!!!

A poignant penning, Vicky ... I think at times we have all felt some of what you're going through ... but, then again, I can only speak for myself ... and I KNOW I have~
Like you, I'm not a quitter ... so, I buckle up and keep on trucking~

Hey ... I STILL love you~
(but, you already know that)

~ Ms. Vicky, I sure am glad to hear that! ~ the you not running off part!!! ~ not the latter half of your statement. That part, I am sad to hear!

Gosh, I do understand where you are coming from! When I first started at pip, I had encountered the same thing from another poet and I near cried me a river and felt like quitting. But, I hung in there and am I ever glad that I did! For one thing, I'd have lost out on so many friendships and I surely would not have written the 1,000 poems that I have posted since I joined!

I'm relieved that this poem is just a way of you venting.

Vent away! ~ but stay!

btw, your poem was very well written and was effective in pulling me right into your emotional whirlwind!

Feeling this and sorry that you had to write it.  You know I know just how you feel here and also I love the changes, in between, where you emphasize each word.

Nice to see you writing, Vic.

anyway....

this takes a trip to the library..

and thank you.
