When the night has stolen desire
and pretence can’t do anything,
the start of love planted like seeds
in the soil of mystical dreams
rises above flat-lined beliefs
and stakes itself to the soul.

Tendrils of hope fine-tuned with a wish
stray from the call of duty
into that dream no one believes
is the truth’s energetic life force.

Love at the start but buried in heart
calls forth the ace of spades
in spring, each spring, before the heat
of summer’s passionate fire
but autumn, but winter, but simply life,
and sky loses mountains to ground.

If I survive I stand taller on love
energized by the dream I am dreaming
and who can deny the vine its climb
from thought into reality?

and who should dare deny this dream into reality?

Thanks, Midnitesun!  You're right - it's my dream and I'm sticking to it right down there under the rubble of life where the brave always fear to go.

Thanks, Dixie.  Summations are like life - not always as we would wish it to be.

LeeJ - Thank you so very much.  Your appreciation of my written word is ... appreciated (with apologies for the repetition.)

Helen....So many people are down on love....I'm glad to be able to read someone who is up on love from the start.  It is what makes the world go round.

Oh my how I loved this write Helen!
And how true..who indeed has the right to deny the thought to become reality?

Hugs and luv, Nancy

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back
