in times of crises we are all guilty
of fanning flames of blame
for it's just GOT to be
somebody's fault
but nature

just is

nature doesn't care who you are
where you live
what you lost
what you must do to recover

it just is
the nature of nature
to perform

and the blame if any
always falls upon our own heads
for what we did or didn't do

but how does one anticipate
such a disaster as this?
the pitiful sight of babies without food or diapers
elderly diabetics without insulin
young people without hope
and all the abandoned animals?

we saw this face of reality
in Banda Aceh recently
and were horrified
we reached out and gave what we could
shaking our heads and saying
thank god it wasn't us

and here we are today
it is us
and nature still is
just nature
and we curse her
and the government
for the state we are in

and in many ways,
we have a right to flame and lay blame
at the feet of those who did not respond
quickly enough,
and yet?

will flames of blame claim more lives
in the end?

"will flames of blame claim more lives
in the end?"

It will if who is to blame is not punished for not doing their duty to their country, and to humanity in general....but I will not wax political here, The history of human blame must be laid out in facts leading up to the event, in a place like the "alley"

I believe that you will never cool down completely, Kacy...at least I hope not-
You are a keeper of the flame...but one must take time for meditation, the garden of the mind needs cool breezes to refresh it, to clear out thoughts that don't belong, regroup and gain the strength to once again stand, and pump the bellows...

Carry it on, my friend....the load is heavy but there are many of us who share your burden...

Peace--------ice
