Feel the aching- feel the aching,
As the escaping of a leaf twists in its fall-
once I were a tree- with a tear in its eyes
and thus thy memory free from me,
enchanted in its far off beauty before the drowning-
in some emotional sea that gathered all the
sunken hearts in the lovers graveyard.

Tis the blushing of the mind upon more memories,
That thou art in my world of mourn-
the shadow of the feeling on my face
which thou never stroked by I stroked for thee,
Ah, less- upon closed eyes,
doth the aching seem more than-
the needle from a thorn once quoted love
and never a flake of doubt now vapour,

Care not for I care not for me,
only stars shall be the ones I see-
that never seem to lose their light
as if they were put out for an everlasting,
Could compare thee to a thousand other details-
but comparing is nothing more than wanting
perfection is acceptance of whom thee was and are.

No doubt- now pain,
come never again towards me-
as if a stranger doth not appear taken
for her she was and were and is,
and all day and night long alike-
a thought that never left my mind
free like the day she arrived.

Hi, Lee!

You eloquently expressed the "aching" ~ and I felt it. That was sheer poetry! A very emotive piece of fine writing.

I enjoyed the old-world charm that spilled from your quill.

"Care not for I care not for me,
only stars shall be the ones I see-
that never seem to lose their light
as if they were put out for an everlasting"

~ Yes, the stars are forever there, shining brightly! ~ Even when they are obscured by clouds from our view...

Starlight wishes,
Linda

that never seem to lose their light
as if they were put out for an everlasting'

I DO like this part very much~

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.
