Listening to every heart

OH,430                [CST]

August, even late, when
one might still make lemonade
from those handed out on
a take it or leave it
platter.  [So goes my little corner of the world.]

Stars greeted me along their milky way
specter of moon’s shadow full in view,
its low gold belly starting to swell

a mental, momentary trip of my own loss

but it begs to be forgiven        look at me!

Rewarded by a falling star         wishes abound!

heeled by the immediacy of gift
love comes via sincerity.

Pines brush walnut leaves, oak trees drop
acorns that may one day reign
the scent of summer, waning

and chirping crickets and whirring katydids
would hush and warn of danger,

if danger had slid this far north, and west.

There, brilliant stars in full view again,
as many as might be counted…

so numerous; almost as many
as are my thoughts ~
prayers and wishes
for the all,
and you.

a lot of thoughts,
a lot of prayers

       ... a lot of YOU

these days have been grey and scattered
but your words shine quite clear!

nice to have shared the same sky.

I ditto what you've so deeply described from a very lovely poetess...this my dear, is one of my favorites of yours...I think, if it be ok with you, I'll put this on my refrigerator, so I may read and be lifted during those not so nice times...

I loved this...

I see beautiful SUN rays shining this morning even though it is dark and ominous here at the moment!

Nicely penned, my friend.

Wish it were starting to look like fall here. It's bloody hot!

I'm not allowed on a family site to repeat some words from Blazing Saddles but "you do have a pretty tongue" and "Words"

Your heart shines with a brilliance that dims the light of the stars...Our prayers join you words and follow them to listening ears...You have done a wonderful thing and will be remembered because of your great love forever....*big hugs*

Beautifully written,  from deep within the
heart and soul of a beautiful poetess.

They remain in my prayers and thoughts.

Every storm holds a promise in some form or another.  I may have said my prayers in silence,  but they were always there during the long wane.  You are a fine example Karilea,  that the sun will rise above.
