A dead one
lies on an epitaph-
etched table.

It belongs to you-
fat and black
an unwelcome cat.

It would be welcome
to come to my eye
and blink in sync
with an army of cats.

Hi, I've never read you before, and am really loving this!

It would be welcome
to come to my eye
and blink in sync
with an army of cats.

Affectionate and clever entwined, love it!

Putting it in my library.

Bodger,
Your wish is granted.

This poem is a simple one that I wrote for my fiancee. He is from El Salvador and has the most beautiful, thick eyelashes you could ever imagine. I always tell him that I would do anything to have his eyelashes (lol). So one day while we were sitting at work I spotted one of his eyelashes on the table and since I am obsessed with eyelashes (this is the second one out of three that I wrote on the subject) the idea for this poem just kind of hit me over the head. That's all it's about.

gemjop,
Thank you so much. That's very sweet of you. I haven't been around in a while but hopefully will be around more now. I don't think anyone's ever told me they were adding me to their library. Thanks so much.
