Morning finds me
One day closer
To salvation
Or a few thousand
In the other direction

Whatever the case may be

Doesn’t much matter which
I suppose
Seein’s how I’m too stubborn
To turn around now.

I’m all out of ideas anyway
As to what constitutes
Good and bad
Much less
Right or wrong

Seems the years
Have fogged these eyes
To the point
those lines in the sand
don’t mean much anymore

so I’ll just toss my stick  aside
and wander this suff’ring road
till another day finds me
or the night calls me home.

Man, do I ever know this thought.

I thoroughly enjoyed this.

You make think you're seeing through fog... but you speak with startling clarity. *S*

This is wonderful, my friend... a somber reflection that invites us all to think. *S*
