Ember,
Little Fire aglow in my soul...
You dwell yet in my belly
Awaiting light to greet you
As I wait to see your baby face
your tiny hands and feet...
it won't be long now
until I can smell your sweet baby skin
while I cradle you in my arms--
I wonder what you will look like...

My Ember,
Let your fire always glow
Be the foundation for bigger things
And when those things are gone
echo their life with your heart's light
When the wind blows
Speak above it
Be heard, show your beauty
Be bright enough to shine
through the world's flawed ashes--
Little Fire,
dream big dreams...

Love, Mama

Nothing like a baby to turn an old woman into mush.  She's adorable.  Congratulations!  Enjoy every moment (even the sleepless ones) because they pass all too quickly.
