I Saw

I heard the rain like slamming chain
Striking on my window pane
Reeking with a wind blown blind
To seek an entrance to my mind

Charge on charge to smash my walls
Powered like a water falls
Seeking out the weak and frail
To force an entrance to my jail

And there I stood in the dark
The light were out was ne’er a spark
And fear enwrapped a shroud of cloud
That shriveled up my shield of proud

Then lightening struck and lit a seem
That mocked my mind the worst of dream
And brought the salty brine of sweat
That changed my skin from dry to wet

And there within it’s spleen of goal
It flood green fields within my soul

Very nice poem, Seymour. If you are in the path of the hurricane, head for higher ground.

This is powerful, dear Seymour! It's what happens when we can't stop fear. And Katrina seems so frightening in her wild attack!

May it quickly be over!

Stay safe!

Love and hugs.
