The stars are out dancing with partner the sky
and the clouds are in waiting like pillows of down.
They’re lifting me up to join their sweet song
and moving me on with dreams of pure love.

As the soft summer breeze lifts the hem of my dress
like strong lover’s hands that gently caress,
flutters of need quietly shiver and shake
and beg for release from the bondage of flesh.

The music is soft with the beat a mere hint
and into my heart flows the background of sighs.
My soul moves inside on wings of pure light
as feather touch lips brush wisps of my hair.

I’m floating and swirling in mood of sheer joy,
my arms holding memory of lives lived before,
but the peace of the Universe so sweetly beheld
returns me once more to the world we created -
the world of war, greed, famine, and fraud!

A thoughtful write, Helen, and more poetic proof that Pips is more than just a site to post our thoughts...it's also an incredible source of inspiration.

And thank you, Helen, for the wonderful reply you posted to my 'apology' post.

Thank you both for the read.  This piece was perhaps my beginning so I'm rather fond of it.  Midnitesun - I guess it's the law of nature that we all feed off one another - inspiration from others being one example of "food".  Unfortunately, it goes the other way as well - ever eaten "bad" seafood?  Whew!  Not happiness!
