where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2005-08-26 03:48 AM

Thoughts come
and go
after they are consumed.

One crimson letter
screams for more,
and I cannot give.

We are lost here
barren lands and
fire
that burns for love
and love only.

I will never forget you,
a crooked smile
that would melt my flesh.

I try so desperately
to not think of you
when I close my eyes..

Photographic memory
and my twisted tongue
forge their way
through my soul's pages,

I dream of you.

I will never forgive myself
for not knowing
time travel.

I'm not stalking you--I just can't sleep.

"Thoughts come
and go
after they are consumed."

This is the epiphany--
a moment can't be captured
until it's already gone.

The next four verses build, toward the climax (and mods, that's my interpretation and it ain't a sexual perspective)

All things desired (I believe) is for the ultimate acheivment of union with divine.

For example, the verse below could be mistaken for sexuality, and yet I see a foreshadow of something more--

"There are times
when I thought

this is wrong

and I did it anyway."

Haven't we all? If not in metaphor then in deed.

" feel no guilt
for my pleasurable ignorance,
for once
I felt bliss.

If you ever understood
that I am merely human
nothing would keep you
from"

I love those two verses as faith proven by this author and? this ending:

"catch
and
release."

I shall try to not type a bouncing smilie.

But megs? know that I wanted to.

Catch and Release? *shaking my head*

Tonight? I like the Chartreusse jellies...
(Redfish are out there, this I know.)

guess we all have wishes
and beggers that ride them
while we remain on the outside
of our own free windows

this and Karen's comment about each of us searching for the perfect union, well, it's been my adopted belief now for quit some time...so,
dearly beloved, let us draw forth a new horizon...one of which finds you within the midst of one hell of a union

pretty darn good writing missy!

we can travel time ....

all we have to do is live it in forward motion.

Come full circle, ... and veer right!!

well written!

I love the bit with the twisted tongue, and the last verse---excellent.  You say it all there.

Photographic memory
and my twisted tongue
forge their way
through my soul's pages,

I dream of you.

That just made my brain spasm. Such clever wording, i love it, for what it means. And i know that feeling, the agony.
