where the wild flowers grow

If I had stayed
I would've been forced
upon my knees to beg.
I topple over my words,
felt with such hopeless rage,
when nothing is left to be spoken.

I know
you are behind me

I can feel you

and how I wish
you would walk away.

Instead
you let yourself be known
as if
you were so quietly unhappy
while you reel me in
like a mediocre catch.

I never wished that things like this
would happen,
but they do.
You act as if I had a choice,

and in some cases,

I did.

There are times
when I thought

this is wrong

and I did it anyway.

I feel no guilt
for my pleasurable ignorance,
for once
I felt bliss.

If you ever understood
that I am merely human
nothing would keep you
from

catch
and
release.

sport

I understand from both sides, actually, though my sympathies lie most assuredly to one side--letting the tide roll in...

washing the footprints away.

(y'gotta make new ones every day anyhow.   )

You might as well enjoy it.

Yer doing just fine lovie.

life is like a game of chess, sometime you check, sometimes you reach a stale mate...doesn't mean anyone wins or losses, really, just means, your both tired of the game...chapish?

I'm sorry your back writing under the circumstances, despite my selfish desires to read you again...

Its good to read you again Megs...

Did you know there is a book by that title that is quite popular in Alaska? LOL, not the same subject matter, but just thought you might need a chuckle. These funny Alaska ladies wrote a book about ...AHEM....some  not-so-desireable rough-and-rugged AVAILABLE Alaska men. It knocked me sox off when I read it, after having met one of the ladies who wrote it while I lived in Fairbanks.
Anyway, 'tis an important survival technique to know when to release.

Wow Meg, what an image. and i know, thinking of using all the speeches and questions you think up in your rage, and when you come face to face, nothing comes out, or you forget it all.

They only make us feel this way with their inhuman traits.

A beautiful, honest write, again. I admire that you will never apologise for mistakes that were natural, neccessary and human. ha, TEACH ME!!
