denial

stories against the backdrop
of northern skies
sheave an innermost tragedy
that leaves
the minds
of men,
hoping destiny is the expert
altering forbidden wishes
into revenge
like reprisals of
honored faces
& those damned
marks of distinction
left to wither and die
in trembling
blood pools
of word portraits
turning over
charity
plucks hallucinations
from a violin…
realizing the iciness of
a paradise lost,
when one human breath
ceases to smile,

an unconscious scathing
who i ask, who is the war horse
of leathered warehouses?
where bones turn into ash
to inescapable places
redemption is unavoidable
like the corrode of cancer
like pills of fallen rainbows
i swallowed,
just to answer questions

closing your eyes
so you can’t feel
the cold filtering ache

i say, stories listen,
as well as, tell
like old furniture touching
a whisper from heaven
standing in a karaoke bar
lassoing the moon,
can you smell
the stench of stale beer
a silent audible voice
chews m & m’s
with a cataclysm tune

it is, then, when the decay of leaves
marches into your nostrils
like a stench
of death,
you know,

yes,

then you know
the abysmal hands of mind & time

that refused to move the body
into a consciousness
that opens doors

a deep coma
sinks deep into moments
blackening omens,

scratching

scratching
naked men in trees
for one saturday night that traces
any available seat
believing morning
is insignificant
but then,
somebody has to die
right?

when does the alarm go off?
when we’re sitting
in a wheel chair in some
nursing home?
is that what causes
neurodegenerative disorders in men?

when all they can remember is
a springsteen concert?
drinking wine of forgetfulness?
so their watch doesn’t lash out
from behind the eyelids?

nobody waves
to parking lots
filled with
dutiful churches
when work becomes
a traffic jam!
grunting asphalt chunks
of toy soldiers

ignoring plights
that children chock on
as we write and tell stories
against a northern backdrop

it is reality that’s gut piercing
cuz, we know we drank
to many margaritas

cloning more discrepancies,
then leaning forward~
we feared following
the arrows that said
“find out more”!
it’s in the genes?
yes,
it’s in the genes!
our priorities?

footnote:
during break the other day, I tried to bring up the issue of petafiles being turned loose after damaging child, after child, after child...
Everyone ignored my words, it was like I was thinking outloud and nobody could hear me but me...and they quickly jumped into another conversation of jokes and plesant things...

I believe this subject is to embarrasing for most to address, they fear taking a stand...until, it happens "close to home"

When did crime start being rewarded?
When did we become cowards?
Are they not terrorists
in our children's world?

Its nice, I might need to read it about 10 more times before I really understand it, but its nice.  I can't say I really agree on locking pedafiles away and never letting them out.  My friend was accused of molesting a boy and the boy couldn't get his story straight.  He kept changing it and because it looks good for a judge to throw a pedafile in jail and it was just before time to vote he did two years in a state prison, and he didn't even do anything.  Not only did the boy lie, but hes also lied about several other men the very same way and ruined their lives as well.  So I don't believe they should be locked away and not released at some point.  They might be innocent like my friend.  If you'd like to discuss it send me an e-mail.

dear one, I can certainly sympathize with your friend, as I have known this to happen to many during my life time...

But I'm talking about the ones that have been proven guilty through DNA...and have been turned loose....

unless you yourself have been a victim of this...you have no idea...the innocence that are riped out of the minds of children, and the effects for the rest of their lives....some can come to terms with it, and view it in a different light, perhaps when they're older, but others, others simply can't get over the guilt, shame and blame they feel...not to mention, loss of confidence, and the inner fear of being alone with men/women...this is a scar on humanities ability to make a difference.  But no body seems to want to acknowledge it, until it happens to a loved one, or them.

Thank you for reading and commenting

sincerely sending forward hugs
