Spoonin' On Two Wheels
By Larry Chadwick
For my wife

Time to crank up the bike and put it in gear,
Drop the clutch and race on out of here.
With the wind in our face and bike on the road,
Time to let go of our worries that have become a load.

As the telephone poles blur to measure each mile,
I feel your hands caress my sides for a while.
With my long reach I lean back in your arms,
And in spite of the wind I smell your charms.

It is a comfort to know that we cruise together,
And frankly I really don’t care about the weather.
Whether it rains or pours and soaks us to the bone,
I am glad to be with you and not riding alone.

August 23, 2005

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

WEeeeeeee doggies, sounds like a fun ride, and all the better to share.
Glad I caught up with this before it got away.

Nice one, Larry~
