(Just temporarily wanted to pause in my happy summertime poetry phase with this one serious write, which I dedicate to the courageous mother Cindy Sheehan, who I respect highly in her effort to provide a leap of faith for the many who are discouraged of this war in Iraq and is giving many this much longly-overdue inspiration in hopes a light is coming at the end of this long, dark tunnel. Not everyone may agree with Sheehan in what she is doing in Crawford, but I for one admire her efforts and hope regardless that rather than intimidating one another, we can instead seek inspiration and dialogue, and perhaps if we can all do just that, we can learn so much more and seek that true peace we all long so much for. ) Don’t Be Intimidated, Be Inspired By: Noah Eaton 8/19/05 Every time we open our mouths, we all look into each others mind, everything often can feel so wrong, but the time’s always right to do what’s right, sometimes I feel weak giving in, then the impression comes burning bright, like light breaking from clouds over the ocean, the aria softens my eyes. Don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be intimidated, be inspired... ...do you need a hand, to help you up on your first step... You tell me and I’ll forget, show me and the memory will fade, involve me and I’ll finally understand, the third charm’s that risk that you take, I’ve taken my share of adversity, now test me with strength, I’m literally screaming without lungs, I can sing after my heart breaks, I must have lost a thousand small fights, this personal win feels so true, it’s here I feel the sun from both sides, friends like the wrinkles under my eyes, I feel I can swear this time, this feeling won’t subside, the shell must break before the bird can fly, I believe I’ve found faith in flight... Don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be afraid to imagine, cry, open your mind, you’ll never know until you try, don’t be intimidated, be inspired... Don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be afraid to imagine, cry, open your mind, you’ll never know until you try, take it to heart, restart, for all the young, restless hearts, it doesn’t matter who you are, don’t be intimidated, be inspired... I’ve found it’s no use fighting this fear, going on driving that wedge, these wars don’t determine who was right, only who’ll be left, I’d rather sweat than bleed, breathe a silver lining, I walk now with a new found sweet release, the infallible sign shines between my cheeks... Don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be intimidated, be inspired, don’t be afraid to imagine, cry, open your mind, you’ll never know until you try, don’t be intimidated, be inspired... "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" Mother Teresa |

Noah, there are some who are against the war, some who support it, and some who just don't care either way. You've a heart of gold m'friend and my prayers go with her too |

Noah This is a beautiful, American folk song...Through the ages, people have written songs to express their feeling on various subjects..some of those songs have been sung for centuries after the fact that inspired them... Sing on, little brother, sing on.... ------------ice ><> I encourage everyone that is interested in the subject of Noahs song to read and join in on his "Cindy Sheehan" thread in the alley. |
