I’m a Swinger

And swing upon this life’s trapeze
Doing summersaults in flight with ease
And though I land upon my feet
I feel the summersault not complete

Some how I feel the turn I do
Is not correct the yearn I view
And turning in the broader sense
Does not fulfill the recompense

There is this flight within the air
That lacks the wings to keep it there
And always lands me with a thud
That rises up a mess of mud

This turns the daylight into night
With only stars to feed me light
And I am caught within a veil
That slack the sails I haul in sail

And time has no concern for you
When counting down the time you do

Talk about starting
the morning off with a

what your title gave me...

and then your poem?

Sigh.

Thank you, Sy!

Don't worry too much about not making the turns right...when you take us flying with you we soar with ease among the stars of your mind...Wonderful writing...*big hugs*

this reminds me of when my friends and I would go swinging either in the rain or after it, just so we could jump off the swings into the mud puddles...

my mom was so mad but it was so fun!

I like this so much, my friend! *S* With your words, I feel the rush of air against my face... and those few moments of flight that are over far too soon... Beautiful!
