Listening to every heart

Shadow Dance

Fall is scratching at the windows
Calling me out to see
Fingers in reach of sky, in hope
That we would know eternity…

It calls at me to look beyond
The daily scope of we
While shadows dance in glorious
Escape of you, and me.

When I age, begin decline
And gray before the light
Let fall come scratch my way
And I will walk into the night

For that is where I'll find my love...
For that is where I'll find my Love.

Revised repost.

how about:

"When I AGED and began decline
And my chest hair has turned gray,
And now I only speak of conquests
That I had in better days.....

Or like that country song out now
"I'm not a good as I once was, but I'm as
good once, as I ever was".....this is a good write gal....

Kari
There is great evidance in the paper trails you have left, this being no exception, that despite shadows of everyday life, you take time to not only find perceptiveness in the voice of nature, but see it as well...which definately pours your charicture into many, wonderful enlightening songs.

I can hear the scratching, see the shadow,
visualize the matching...

Nice and gentle, the way I like

Lovely this...
Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile.

Just popped in for a short and I'm off again..
the water is calling me. *grin*
..and a gazebo awaits.
Hugs YOU!

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

You have so masterfully rendered the melancholy and the beauty of the shadow's dance.

Awesome.

Love and hugs.

Shadows are gray, but they are a feature of sunshine....if you become more like them that's not loss, it's fulfillment -- only an outward sign that you're taking on a wider range of that which you are, and will always be.

SIL, couldn't help but nod to this one.  I think Ratleader summed up so well what I was thinking after reading.  And, yes, it is a song.   ......jo
