Conner’s Corner

A man named Conner
found a corner
and stuck in his roots
deep

even called it
his.

Decades passed
lives were lived,
seasons were given song.

Then,

they,
the takers
found his corner,
circled Conner
and called it
theirs.

There’s a reason
we don’t
rename a
town’s corners

Conners.

They already know
who they are.

Sissie

Hmmmm, I'm sure there's a story in this...and I am curious and intrigued...perhaps one that could be posted in prose??

She met a man Conner,
A real bore, a yawner,
But he was a hunk,
Not bad whats she thunk.
someone should warn her
about Conner's corner,
Maybe a your honor
whose name is not Conner,
Conner the Con
who happened upon,
a corner one day,
and decided to stay,
But the takers came calling,
and it was appalling,
a connerless corner,
I sure tried to warn her
but it was too late,
It was Conner's fate,
No corner for Conner,
For Conner's a goner.
She's all alone,
Conner's Corner unknown
Except in her ode,
which she has bestowed,
On all us here,
so let out a cheer,
a really fine poem,
She Shirley did show'em.

Sorry Sunshine, it has been a long day and my mind is mush...  but I did enjoy the poem.
