when the hugging tree broke her middle
from the winds you hadn't worshiped
you cried for your ocean parts
and folded your butterfly metals
into paperclip fajita's

frigid thawlessnees you said
was your fast frozen safe place
you put it on as a cold shirt night
when you wrote me poems
and told me not to look at your eyes

or other places there was driftwood
rubbing itself tear sided smooth
on the dark stones you imagined
all men to wear as buttons
on their long coats when they ride

I kicked sand in your bed
so your skin would know me later
without the oilskin imagination
when the waves would come for dinner
and make you stay over

til a sundown thawsday morning

WOW!! You sure like to leave a lasting impression...Hopefully the sand was hot beach sand and would radiate some of its heat for thawing...Powerful words used brilliantly...*big hugs*
