Babbling

I often sit a beckoning nook
And listen to the babbling brook
Where water runs o’er rocks of thwart
Whose rhythm splashes me with thought?

Carrying me on misty dream
While feet within the cool of stream
Massaging me with fluid hand
Carrying away the time of sand

It is an interval of wile
That brings the pleasure of a smile
Touching me with magic hold
Sleuthing me like panning gold

And there within the frame of sleuth
I find the gold like specks of truth
Glimmering the sun of day
Bringing thoughts to come and stay

And it is hard to dry my feet
Until the argosy complete

Good morning, T-Man!

Your pan is chock full of golden mots! May you babble on like a brook forever more!

I found this scene especially peaceful ~

"I often sit a beckoning nook
And listen to the babbling brook
Where water runs o’er rocks of thwart
Whose rhythm splashes me with thought?"

~ Now I know one of your sources of inspiration! It is one of mine as well!

Morning hugs 'n kisses,
EA

Really enjoyed your comment. Good morning sweet.

JM,
Your feet are standing in chaos. Wonderful
reply. Perfect pictures for the poem.

Maureen,
Almost any water will do. Hugs

What a wonderful place to set your muse free...I know that when the brook babbles you listen with you special ears and then weave us one of your magnificent visions...this one is a vision so complete I too can hear the brook as it babbles...*big hugs*
