I drift where people should not be
Marooned, abandoned on a sea
Running out of strength to stroke
Feeling lost and always broke

Surviving where I should not be
Feeling trapped and far from free
Smiling and just looking fine
But still for me the sun won’t shine

The hours are too long at best
And truly I just want to rest
To find a place where I can start
To find my way and get half smart

But lotto comes to only few
And most of them I never knew
It’s working at what must be done
That helps us reach another run

So on I go where life does take
With hope I better choices make
Wishing with the stars each night
That somehow life will set it right

Life always does my friend, it always does...enjoyed this legacy of hope this morning..well done!  Adding in fond admiration, I believe you shall know those stars personally...

Hi, Rick.  Enjoyed this.  I agree with LeeJ...and I'll add that especially when you are doing what you can, too...and it looks like you've got a good attitude anyway.   ....jo

To you all my friends, thank you for your special touches and lovely words, each one was greatly appreciated. I feel just fine, but these words keep being written onto the paper, within a hand is writing, I hope for my soul to find happiness and more words of joy to come into my poetry.

Be well my friends, I will write again soon.

Sincerely
Rick
