4 years;
           my friend

o dear friend

has been that long
since i heard your sound
that used to whisper through silence
breaking through

as i struggle through city sounds
of fast cars
and motor whirrs

time has been slow
yet so fast
that i could barely catch a breath
without forgetting to think of
your presence

i remember
the golden times
of rock shows
dreamtheater, metallica, maiden, muse and what not?
even prodigy!

yes
you are the prodigal one himself
and you remain
my best friend

4 years

and in this week of aircrashes
all i remember is 4 years back
when news filtered through
through cold dark clouds
that a two-seater had crashed
in antwerp
and took my best friend
to ground

what remained was

is

memories

of life that lasted

in past tense!

and we shared life
friendship

alas! truth

how i wish
you were here

life has moved on
yet, we remain best friends
like blood brothers

Sudhir, what a deep pain I feel with this write.  I can understand the emotions that leave it titleless.   ....jo

Sudhir, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend and for that young man, his life. How truly tragic. I felt your words to my very core.

In some ways, he can be a closer friend to you now that he is in spirit...

Love & Eternal Light,
Linda
P.S. That is a mighty handsome photo of yourself that you have posted!

Oh, this touches me deeply.
Emotional write - my thoughts are with you.

yes, indeed.

Goodness, this is just beautiful.

and thus, reading my mind, once again:

time has been slow
yet so fast
that i could barely catch a breath
without forgetting to think of
your presence

you write of passing much more eloquently than I could, sir.

tearing the heart apart with this; but it is so sweetly written, and such tenderness as this is proof that the bonds of close friendships can last forever

A poem that touches the heart deeply...It needs no title for the words expressed here are title enough to let all hear...*big hugs*
