Heat irritates us
Lovers of things temperate
Myself and alpine flowers

So we feel in stem and bone
Relief when rain cools mountains.

We are getting a cool shower this morning, I feel better and so does my saxifrage...

Now I'll go out and play in the mud...
Good day to all...

ice, with the depth of your poetry and your replies, I just knew that you had more roots than a mere mortal man! Flirty 2

This tanka was delightfully refreshing and tickled the meadow saxifrage surrounding the hem of my vestments!

Have a joyous day cavorting in nature!

Dog days come panting
Autumn becomes tinged with paint
This air is changing

Somewhere a mountain's brisk air
Would beg these feet to wander

hey, mud pies are a fun treat on days like these, and when we hit 99 here yesterday, I felt I was going to melt from within

Smiling at these comments, that are as beautiful as this day was..the mud dried by noon, not as much rain as I would have liked, but my saxifrage and I will take what we got and be thankful for its blessings.
