Words of the extreme wings tips of flight,
The left and right moderating a center,
Should one wing become too strong
The eagle will spiral out of control.

People will condemn other opinions,
Label them as hypocrites, if they disagree,
Bless them as saints, agreeing with them,
I say both sides are Patriots of free speech.

A poet may get you upset in your freedom,
Making you question your own values,
Yet if they created doubt or questions,
Your open mind must seek out the truth.

Poetry is not about being right or wrong,
For what is right, may be wrong for another,
But to condemn one for an opinion,
Says that they do not live inside democracy.

Utopian liberalism to theological conservatism,
Teaching should never have any boundaries,
Learning lives in the universe God created.
It is everything inside, outside your thoughts.

Devil’s advocate poetry takes on all sides,
Wanting the readers to argue their own merits,
The challenge for independent creative views,
By instigating one’s own line of reasoning.

Should the eagle become imprisoned
Forced into a reservation of conformity,
Trained as a domesticated servant,
Wings clipped banned to lost expression.

Let the speech of its cry, arise to claim the sky
Let its spirit levitate, claiming the whole horizon
Let its flight create the verse of the winds upon
The minds of time in the freedom of free speech
Being shared from one soul to another in harmony.

Note: Who has the right to deny a person an opinion?

Sometimes people play the devil’s advocate in that they want someone to defend their personal views, but some may condemn them for questioning them, that the devil has entered their souls, and corrupted them. Yet some will defend their views in concrete facts and personal conviction to find a receptive audience sometimes even reinforcing their own prior convictions.

How easy it is today to condemn one person and then have others follow the lead without even researching for the truth. Just because a politician says, something is true, it does not make it factual, for it is up to the voters to reach them with questions, and make them accountable. Creative accounting demanded compliance with no questions allowed, we do not need creative government.

When politicians like Presidents refuse to take on civilian questions for fear of the truth being brought out, then the WMD has invaded our freedom of speech. That is why I am against politicians choosing their audience with pledges of allegiance, tickets that give up their American rights to free and independent questioning. We must be an independent free spirited flag waving American people, living within the words of a Constitution, united from liberal and conservative viewpoints of free speech.

God save the Conservative for he has to put up with a Liberal. God save the Liberal for he has to put up with a Conservative. How changing words around can change a meaning, when I could have just said, God save all of us, and unite us in the harmony of humanity.

You know, I so agree with every single word that you said here, poetic, but especially the prose!!!!  I'm an American, living now in the UK, and that gives me the unique view of what's happening back home.  The political system is much different here, and the 'people' are the ones who actually have the voice.  But I still see American spirit shining through, as there are American flags waving at all the big ceremonies, and you see flags on cars and clothing all over the place.  This is one world now, and nations building together, along with cultures intigrating, so I agree with you....we can no longer close our doors and minds to the differences, and you are so right....God Bless Us ALL!!!  ~S~

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life
