Each Night

Each night I walk a midnight blue
A Candle light to see me through
It lights the walls within the cave
But cannot light beyond the grave

I see the paintings on the wall
Ancient paintings ancient scrawl
Ancient men that gird there bark
Long before the word of mark

But universal is the sight
And easy read the symbols light
They placed the image of their dare
The needs to pay their daily fare

They placed the items of the sun
And tilled the ground of just begun
And did their best to struggle through
Their walk each night of midnight blue

And now I make my mark the wall
To catch new light, of light to fall

Seymour...Enjoyed the journey back in time you painted with these wonderful words.

It makes me wonder those before us must have known more than we give them credit for, cause they left their crude paintings for us to find and ponder upon. They knew we were coming...Paul

Youve written many a symbol and wisdom on these blue walls...and I am ever grateful for being so fortunate to be able to read them.
