It’s been awhile since I’ve sat here
And typed from heart and soul
Some things are not forgotten
Friends and thoughts that make one whole....

The words I read remind me that
Poetic thoughts survive
No matter what life dishes out
Inside the need’s alive...

To write, to love, to live and give
To say what’s deep inside
A gift like that, we share as one
A poet never dies!

So, just to say I’ve missed you all
Old friends, and now some new
It’s good to be back home again
To spend some time with you...

This is just my simple way
Of opening up the door
To step back in, and take my place
With friends that I adore...

So, is there still a chair for me
At Passion’s tabled den?
Let’s drink a toast to home and hearth
And let the feast begin!

There's always a chair here, Sunnyone, as you know, silly!!!!  Pull one up!  This was such a sweet write.  Welcome back.  (I've been away on and off for the past 7 months, so I know what you mean....)   ....jo

Dear One With the Sun ~ I cannot tell you how pleased I am that you have come through Pip's always-open-for-you door!

Grab a chair (the one next to me that I have been saving for you for when you returned!) and let's share a feast of poetry and friendship!

I have tatellya, that was one fine poetic entrance that you just made! Truly!

Big, warm, welcome-back hugs,
Linda xo

Hi iliana, and yes, sometimes we absolutely need to take some time out to 'find' ourselves again!!! Can you hear my chair legs sliding across the floor, so I can sit right down???  HA!!!  ~S~

Hi my 'Sun-sis'!!!  It felt really good to sit down and type away again...it was a part of my life that was a void for awhile, but that's over, so let the rays shine through, eh??  ~S~

Hi Linda, and your hugs are so welcome to this old poet!!!!  Got the chair, got my puter running, and who knows what's next!! ~S~

Hi Sy, and it's so good to talk to you again!  You don't realize how much you miss special friends until you re-unite!!!  ~S~

Thank you so very much Startime55!!!!  I'm sure a lot of us just have to take a breather sometimes, but isn't it nice to come back home, and see all the old gang, still sharing and caring???  All big hugs are much appreciated, my friend, and hope to see more of you too!!!!  ~S~

Hey lady, welcome back to these blue skies!
You'll always have a chair here! So will you tell us some tales about the lands and people in your part of merry old England?
