I wait for you knowing you will not come how I could have guessed the stranger in your face considering me so I climbed the stairs past the flowers for the lover on the lonely shelf mark me the light of bare walls ~ reading again --- your letters told me this: with certain line as if it had always been the one word neither of us could say In your light I learn how to love In your beauty how to make poems You dance inside my chest where no one sees you and that sight becomes this art |
