In

In velvet air amongst the trees
Where only shadows moved with ease
Showed shafts of light in misty lies
Lighting dew drops like fireflies

And silence reined the forest keep
The world was in the last of sleep
A beauteous moments glowing gloss
Before the chaos turned to dross

I seek these moments garments place
The in-between the holes of lace
And make myself a pyramid
To place my bones and rest amid

To stretch my rubber band to pull
And store the wool of three bags full
To place my soul in Shangri-la
To reach in light speed my own star

If this sounds sort of vague to you
Then stay your dreams and sleep on through

morning sir.
many thoughts to ponder here

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~

oh me darlin poet man...nothing you say is vague...
(some just cant see the forest for the trees)... all that you rhyme is written on time--
tis all poetry in motion...just look at that verse above.

To stretch my rubber band to pull
And store the wool of three bags full

BRAVO!!! This wonderful poem brought to life the vacation we took this year...We went camping in the mountains and I would get up at 6:00 a.m. just to sit outside and feel the wonderful silence around us...At night we would lay out on our sleeping bags and gaze at the wonder of the stars...I have been gazing at the stars with my grandchildren since we have been home but the magic and silence that surrounded us in the mountains is not there....this poem brings it all to life for me...Thank you....*big hugs*
