Heading to China

Darkness envelops the mind
Shrouded in the ever present knowing of nothing
Hoping for a dramatic climax
The realization that I am a spec of dust in the cosmic gathering
Dancing in and out of lucidness
The hardened heart of tomorrow has me in a strangle hold
Questions leaving unanswered
Answers appearing with no rhyme or reason
The leaves change, yet do I
Walking on an invisible tight rope
Aimless and pointless direction
Is there possibilities in the yesteryear
Or is hindsight blind as well
Gathering moss in a timely way
Love garnishes this being
Yet does not fulfill it
The waking solitude that is
Shrieking harpies placate the very essence
Cause and effect is nothing with out purpose
Reading words, yet they slip from ear to ear
You will awake no different
A lie in a glass house
Smiling for reasons you can not comprehend
The beliefs of the many are your own
A sullen child you will remain
Till you forget you were even there
A cold hard truth that is death

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

Poe, even though this ends on a chilly note? I enjoyed the warm heartbeat that flows within this piece.
