Writing Brought Some Relief

Whilst you broke my heart
I can hang on to my pride
As I am open and honest
There is no reason to hide

In finding the inner strength
My self esteem will renew
Even during this heartache
I had always remained true

I have to rise over adversity
Remove all my self doubt
Ones that hide something
Uses the cowards way out

Knowing I am not to blame
I am not the one with guilt
Still over the recent weeks
Many tears have been spilt

Forgetting shall not be easy
It became the hardest part
Writing brought some relief
Only time will heal my heart

High Hopes! I mean, "Hi, Hope!"

It is such a treat to hear music playing in the background while I am reading your poetry! I could almost hear Roy Orbison singing the words to this poem!

Love & Light,
Linda

Darling, I believe it is human nature to questions ones own mistakes upon a disagreement or dissolve of a relationship...self examination is a very good thing, as long as we don't beat our selves up, but more so, take a collective look at what how we might have offended another, and perhaps correct that if possible...yes, yes yes, you are so correct, one doesn't hide things, and to me, if they do, it should be a great big red flag saying, you might want to stay clear?

Hugs for your tears

Boy do I know that silence too, and it hurts when no explanation comes with it doesn't it.  Nicely written about a sad situation Hope.
