Between the Lines

Secondary Infection

Each day I get what I wish
in the form of the expected...

I could create a file of negatives this year
that would overflow the paper trail
and leave footprints
not behind me, but in front.

I keep stepping into it,
though I try to jump over,
but my stride is too short.

My life has so much imperfection in it
that I have a following, pied-piper-like.

I lay down between yesterday and tomorrow
never feeling that which is today.

You know what?  This poem is today!!  Check the date and time!  I do understand what you mean, though.

smile...but yanno?

I love the very trait that you curse yourself for...

unceasing faith in the essential goodness of others

it makes one feel a bit like Charly Brown, still trying to kick that ball that Lucy keeps snatching away, but hey? At least when the game is over, you will know you did all that you could.

Love ya lady.

You've a generous and giving spirit.

Tomorrow brings the dawn of yesterday..... so I wrote once. In a poem that's knit so well, it's hard to choose a verse and say "this is best".... so I'll just say that this one --

I could create a file of negatives this year
that would overflow the paper trail
and leave footprints
not behind me, but in front.

-- hit me right between.....well, whatever it hit me between, that's where it hit....heart chambers, maybe......

You have the talent, just believe in your self

You have the strength - discrimination is probably the biggest problem - just dont give up
