Here, Now, Forever

i dont think much of life anymore.
i've grown sad and depressed.
you've seen my smile. it's my mask.
for everything that i know
everything that i love,
everything that i see,
will one day be broken
as flowers, they compete for the sunlight.

i've grown tired, these passing days.
a fraction of what i used to be.
do you feel my love? it is real.
though people will change
buildings will topple
flowers will wither and pass
nevertheless, the morning sun rises
upon a world where aimless hearts flutter in the wind
like autumn leaves off the northern maples
where hearts are alone and sequestered in mourning

I never knew angels walked the Earth,
Until I met you, my lovely Seraphim.
I ask only that you love me
Oh, do you think you could?
Me and you have the power to change this world
For we could move mountains
spread love through the world
spread hope through the world
and one day they will say
that we were here.
They will see us and all of them will know
We overcame, and perservered
We conquered death
and took flight among the stars with our broken wings.
