Lightening Strikes

Lightening strikes in jagged flight
Thunder rolls and booms the night
Rain falls down in wind and roar
And I am spellbound with the awe

I watch behind a window pane
Watching drops of rain insane
Streaking down the window glass
Seeking paths of quick surpass

And on the road the puddles come
Rolling down the grade till plumb
Bringing up the tide of swell
Until it reaches where I dwell

It’s then I wish the rain would stop
Not another drop would drop
For I am helpless at this stage
And cannot deal with natures rage

It’s then I hear a whispered prayer
Sometimes heard but very rare

Hey you!  Carpe' Diem and all that!  Why not get out there butt neked and enjoy nature's fury.  There is nothing as exhilarating as a great lightning storm!  Oh...better wear shoes?

I hope it IS raining there you need it, and it is hot as Haiti here and driving me crazy.  Gee, if I wanted heat I would live there!

Oh wait a second, this isn't about Isabel is it?

Sharon,
You are such a clever little chicken.

SmartChick,
You are so sweet.
