amid the bluest azure skies,
a sad song sang itself
amidst a thousand cries
of endless promises and lies

I watched
while you did fling the sun's golden rays
at all who sat below the dark clouds

~as if that should warm the heart
of a cold world
rather than tear it apart~

for in the heat of the moment
multiple passionate fires did rage and burn
in every land
north, south, east, west

and love's center vanished
into the dust of us
who could not fathom the depths
of your magnanimity

deprived of light
I stood silently
no...not silently,
but with just a whisper on my lips,
hands upon squared off angry hips
beneath a face now set in stone

alone

well, that's what happens
when you seek a golden rainbow
and settle for
the colors
of
mud

the plight of each rainbow that falls to earth
to land its color in mud
hope ends in a thud

"but with just a whisper on my lips,
hands upon squared off angry hips
beneath a face now set in stone"

That whisper is a shout-
Out to world, and hands
Squarded off on a womans hips
Is a universal sign of strength,
Of thought and purpose..
(every man knows this is a serious sign
Of a womans determination)

And the face "set in stone", how could this be?
Such a stern look on a womans face, look out world
There is a pending hurricane...

~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Ford, now if only I really could shift the winds, change the tides....and you are right about the determination part.
Thank you friends, for always helping me stay centered.

hopes are not always defeated, but transfered to another plain, another something that is supposed to be....

I didn't know what to expect from the title... and now... I don't want to leave it. *S* This one is definitely going into my library! *S*

One of your best, sweet lady... superb!!
