O Love! Terrible Love! On the sea of thoughts,
The heart has gone, heartache nears-
and sorrow chimes with each heartbeat
those that fell before exulting,
Whilst tears fall from eyes, the passage grim and hurting-
O bleeding soul! Bleeding slowly to death!
Shall not be seen beneath a broken smile.

Where upon the oceans face shall I be found,
Fallen, cold, death urging me to take flight-
a voice whispers O heart! O heart!
rise again and hear the soothing chimes once more,
If thee stays beneath the sun of worn dreams-
thou art bound to be burnt by Love twice over
like the oceans drown through and through.

Is it but a dream I thought before,
This ribbon around my heart bow-tied-
the memories swaying back and forth
eager in its changing O heart! O love!
My soul doth not answer, Its essence frail and still-
My heart hath no special pulse, just the common beat
its voyage of love sank before it made the journey done.

But like the day becomes the night, and night becomes the day,
O hearts shall breathe! Beneath the beats sleeping-
and chimes shall play a different tone in the making
O Love shall breathe again, mournful moments spent.
