Transcendence via Axe Murdering

Creeping, sneaking little girl
tip toeing back into my world
hands wandering up my shirt
don't think I've forgotten
the way you can hurt me...

Don't crawl back to me
when you're out of luck
or you'll find out I'm truly
sincere in not giving a (edit)

Anymore
about you
closed screen door
dividing sky blue
stop making sense
you idiot heart
start the climb towards transcendence

Hands bloody
shoes muddy
Elvis Costello and a cup of coffee
a quarter of moon
and she's out on the backstreets
crying like a loon

At me
all the time, now
rain falling on this city
like laughing out loud
this idiot heart
is sighing for a hint of transcendence

Creep, sneak
creeping in my sleep
in deep
stealing my tunes
written underneath full midnight moons
she fertilized my desert mind
with sweetly surrendering rhymes
and we used to name the stars
after dead rock stars
Jimi and Janis twinkled in her eyes
but soon my puppy dog loyalty
and love drowned in her lies

White lilies laid on the grave
of all the wasted love I gave
death becomes her
maybe at night she remembers
when the caring was mutual
before she made me a fool
but now she feels sorry
now she's feeling sorry

If this is true then...

Someday
crawl back into my head
when the dark night shapes my mood
follow the sign of vacancy over my bed
someday
and I will be sincere in believing you

Believing in you
somehow it'll be true
(if you'll be true, that is)
start making sense
of my idiot heart
and pave my road to transcendence

Elvis Costello and coffee in bed
a full midnight moon inside my head
a velvet kiss and a big golden ring
negates transcendence via axe murdering

this is amazing, I always dig reading you...oh and a reminder...using astricks in place of all or part of a filtered curse word, isn't allowed anymore than the word is.

WOW this is amazing and packed with emotion....

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art
