It wasn't what he said, I guess.
It was the way he cocked his head
as I scooped my scrambled eggs
with a knife onto the spork
in a diner
in New York
someone must have pressed E3
damn-I-almost-choked-on-that:

(please)

"Don't stand so close to me"

as I lit a cigarette

ordering the apple pie
and my lips were licking dread
coffee black
so I could blow

smoke into his eyes
and yes

I snapped and paid the check,"I guess,

I wasn't hungry after all..."

It wasn't what he said.

It rarely is.

Great to read you again. I've missed being able to. Hope things are well for you...

you know, for some odd reason this made me feel as if I were sitting across from THE creepiest guy I could imagine, ( I can see his teeth and stuff, K - God) eating complete crap for dinner and listening to THE worst music, ever - just wishing for the ground to open up and swallow me.  Almost like that one point in life when you see someone like chew the wrong way and suddenly it sends chalkboard sparks up your spine and you decide OK thats it, I'm done . . .

(Ok, I actually love the Police)  *grin*

Good one, loved it,
I can just imagine;
what it must be like
to be in that place
that day

Hey ! did you lose my number?

Karen, I felt as if I was sitting right there with you
as he was watching us both. Ya know? I think it
was the way he cocked his eye around at us!!
Hugs to you, Lady.

I coulda called it "Ode to a Creep."

I neglected to mention that he had begged me to go to breakfast with him, and then "lost" his wallet.

I sure can pick 'em, eh?

Thanks for reading!
