Austin Morning Lights

I'm running like a wild stallion,
proud and fast and free.
My corral started feeling like a jail,
after hearing her voice calling out to me.
So I jumped fence and headed for Austin,
the last place she was known to be.

The closer I get the more I know,
within her embrace I yearn to be.
Wild thoughts and desires fill my head
when I feel her heart a calling me.
If I run all night perhaps I'll be
in her arms, by Austin's morning light.

My son and his new wife
just took a trip to Austin
for a job opportunity...

JM,

Backtracking your poems to see where it (falling in love) started. Enjoyed.

Well done James..
I wish you son and his wife well in Austin.
Hugs~Nancy

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back
