Between the Lines

Not A Current Event
(borrowed the title from JamesM)

Sometimes, when
I trip over my days
I think what if I gave up
And let go of new ways

With no warmth to take hold
And no greetings each night
wouldn't it be easier
to give up this fight

I'm all dragged out,
this heat added to
wanting only to feel
some comfort unblue

I am worded in thought,
rhymed to the hilt
loaded with "worn",
swimming in guilt

Wondering why it's this way
Why the fight is so hard
while I'm aging too quickly
wearing "life" as my guard

So I work through each day
even if not doing much
for the heat still inhibits
relief not, in touch

And I'm tired, so tired
this day, especially
Be glad you are not
the one who is me.

(sort of venting)

Yeah I know but tis life and I am glad it's not current huh?! Hey I love my life. I am happy. Bad stuff happens, but I can take it.

Awwww Maureen, I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same way most of the time. But, don't ever give up. Keep hanging in there!
