a bit of the gray lady dancing
she waters my leather
and gives new indigo
to the dragons of my ink

I know her flavors on mornings
when the metal one runs
and we play asphalt pinball games
with the kenworth and gypsy men

she waits jealous impatient
by the bosomed sea
for my mind to end it's lust
for horizons and a one stand sun

she forgives my eyes with night
just her kind of skyless
and tells me to hurry my steel
to make the winds cry

on the fast forward of my impaling

~*~

I use to cuss her out for taking
the curl out of my hair
on those early mornings of yesterday...

now I would love to feel her
kiss my cheeks again...

she is a cool woman...

and she goes all the way
to your bones
rattling your teeth...

if you let her.

My spirit will rise

Mmmm... anything that gives 'new indigo to the dragons of my ink' has to be a good thing.

Gotta keep the poet master primed and ready to write...
