Between the Lines

Allowing the air
to sweep over,
its touch gentle
finger waves of splendor
guarding me from
the heat of thoughts
that seed and grow within

Fear
holding me back
melting into my flesh
sighing these lips
wasting the minutes
as one step forward
two back
seems to be the order
of the day

If it could all end
on a simple note
treat me
to a feast of happiness
rest me in a silent breeze
seal me in contentment
then I could be
the me I am

and show you...
love

Oh wow...that was indeed a powerful statement.  Sounds like something I wish I could say to someone I care very much for...who doesn't even notice!  Beautiful write!
