In Your Poetic Mind

{and then silence}

Exhaling amber and sky

The image --how it feels
to adore this world
you gently haunt

Still winter holds my heart
pressed to glass, I speak
of rain and soaked
memories, of this sea & that

you may know the moment
      the center

chips of salt     desire

of thirst    &colors among earth
held in longing
sipping nectar with out speech

orchids of   being

enduring  darkness

Tracing   edges of wings
blue    --perhaps  a touch of red  --

motion of breathing

this breathing -- listen

we,       at heart   here   palms pressed

stars     unseen
endless shattered ‘peaces’
clearer dreams   of water
that we may hear falling petals
letting  music follow

he too alone –

what might be your words
if we could hear them?

the turning of soulwhen

midnight arrives

softly still,   beautiful for his touch

his  darkness becoming
something I need
against my skin

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art

I do believe I just now this second did a "Janet Marie" with all felt in this poem. This was exquisite, and I felt that longing I tell you.

Your incredible talent of touching the reader's heart,
is shown here once again dear Lauren.

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

It just turns out ....

that I never did reply ... here
that souls linger in the dark
butterflies flutter more in a contained area
amber and sky inhaled makes my day
my soul can be moved ....
