So
oppressive
the heat

as the usage
shuts down more
than the current

the body
stripping itself
in need

skin to air
the only reasonable outlet
for now...

lost power around 6 dinner time  last evening...until 11 p.m.

sitting in candlelight falling asleep in the heat until the fans came back on...

going to be worse today (feeling like 110 so they say)...already in the 80's at 7 this morning

~sighing~

lol, a smile crossed my face just now
picturing an entire network of poets sitting at their computers...
ummm, sans clothing

hey! we needed the electricity for more important things than the AC!

lol

laughing with "sans clothing" almost...

and yes the first thing I checked when home was the AC and the second was the computer which had to be reset.

"cooling hugs"

I understand this all too well... when I'm at my Dad's (summer in Louisiana + no air conditioning = hell) I want to shed my skin, too! *S*

liked the way you used the perfect, few words to describe the unbearable heat; minimal use of words, and with these temps, minimal clothing, a must!  I can see why you'd hit the pool!  (We went from 100 degrees yesterday to 65 degrees today. Fickle weather, I'd say...)

Enjoyed!
