Symbols Dice

I placed the symbols in a cup
And took the cup and shook them up
Spilled them on a field of green
And tried to figure out the mean

They tumbled to a deem of eight
I could not tell if now or late
Interpreting the form it be
Was still a swarm of mystery?

I could not spread the butter broad
Unless I found a common ford
For bread absorbs at different rates
Delivers each to different fates

And connotation takes its cue
The habitation of your view
Environmental pressures there
And how was fed the food of care

Although the butter oft turns red
I’ll butter bread until I’m dead
