Reef

Life here is color,
the vibrant swarm in rhythm,
every fish dancing,
turning, matched like love itself.

blood thread in the water, and--

every fish dancing,
turning, matched like love itself.

I could get lost in this image... and never seek the exit. *S*

The entire poem is sheer excellence, my friend... and so true. *S* If Dixie likes it half as much as I do, she'll treasure it forever.

We turn so easily -- one moment close and the next moment snapping at each other. That's always disturbing to me, though I'm as bad about it as anyone here.

It even happened in this thread, someone I've always had cordial feelings toward, misread the intent of my poem, and wrote things I had to ask the moderators to remove.....and that's just the public response. There was another commentary made privately that has pushed me away from someone else I've been close to here.

Such a shame, and for a poem that tells my disappointment about that very thing....and a sour note to begin my vacation on.

Some times, life is a fish bowl, where we must be ever vigilant to keep the water clean so the fish stay happy and healthy.  It's not always easy.  Thank you for writing this, Ed.

Dixie is quite a character and I miss her omnipresence. Her chutzpah(?) has certainly stirred up Pip waters many a time ~ and made life interesting!

Here is a hug for each of you!

Gosh-isn't that the truth.  And such a lovely vision to say it with, too.
