quick witted like mondays
maitre d’ of the week
language of listening
moving toward the sound of africa hot
on delicate skin

counting daybed horizon breezes
like a sky clear and ardent
filling baskets of anxiety
flawlessly unified
easy rhythm of practice
july’s native tongue
bathing in red moon glow
overlooking entire valleys
scarlet tipped fingernails
digging in embedded cello helix

risqué speculations of
exhilarating summer
long after the season is over
in a circle of tree unclothed hills
like a secret that can’t wait to tell

strong muscled dark lashes are the
greatest of painters
psychedelic era, fitting snug
beauty renders fantasy

in no particular hurry
tie-died dream like state
stacking decks
opening deep fired eyes
sun tanned messages
shouting out loud

there’s a sunroom reaching out
with ceiling fan vintage
talon locked thermos
honey colored innocence
that won’t listen to reason

we hear the eyes of july…
embracing the forest…

It's that easy rhythm of practice...
that you voodoo so well!

LeeJ
You have gleaned the process of life in a short poem. Good morning sweet.
