Off to the moon
in all its phases
its head detached
less bodily traces

Occupied its time for higher things
comets and stars, universal stings
away from the body
that dealt in bodily matters
away from carnal lust
where hot pursuits scatter..

A day came when the bodily part
caught up with its head
gave it a start
chased it down with a net you see
its lustful schedule parred
from the nearest golf tee

The moon queen too had head and body
the head detached when the body follied
in pursuit of a German baron
whose sail flew in
her amourous quest
detected by the ruling paladin.

when off to the moon
in all its phases
bodies run after heads
in lunar mazes
if the head is free
it can think of higher things
when caught by the body
love potions sting...
